Overview

Skincare education people finish.

Clearleaf Lab had formulas worth explaining and an audience that skipped explainers. So we made a diary instead: four weeks, four skin moods, one routine evolving on camera — with the science tucked inside real life.

Challenge

Long-form attention is earned.

Nobody opens YouTube for a lecture. Each episode was structured like a vlog first — a facial appointment, a travel week, a stressed-skin reset — with product moments arriving exactly when the story needed them.

Approach

Diary first, demo second.

Real skin weeks

Filmed across a month so progress — breakouts included — was visibly honest.

Science in captions

Ingredient notes lived in chapters and pinned comments, never in the monologue.

Shorts funnel

Each episode shipped with two Shorts cutdowns that funneled new viewers to the series.

Pastel flat lay of eyeshadow and makeup brushes for episode two Products arranged for the diary series finale
